The Honourable Member is misleading the House. Even though it may not be retroactive, it does not prohibit a person who is born prior to this Bill being passed f rom gaining Bermudian st atus. This Bill also allows for a streamlined process for those who are born prior to it, which is why there is no retroactivity.
